How the world sees Chelsea
We take an alternative look around RHS Chelsea on Press Day.

Have you ever wondered how the rest of the world is able to see images of the world famous RHS Chelsea Flower Show?

Many of the images seen in the media and on television are gathered the day before RHS member’s day and the public arrive at the Royal Hospital site.  This is Press Day, during which gardens are given final adjustments by their designers, contractors are busy polishing anything that can be, or should be polished and the judges are making their rounds to make their judgements.

Garden designers talk to the press.

It had to be a big name!

There is of course an ever increasing selection of celebrities touring the gardens and adding interest to the already colourful displays and naturally attracting the attention of the press.  The show attracts exhibitors and visitors from around the world and members of the press travel from many countries to seek out stories that will be of interest to their readers.

These pictures are here to give you a hint as to what goes on during Press Day.
