A record number of visitors were seen at the annual two day show held near the county town of Dorchester. With so much to see and do across the huge show ground visitors were entertained throughout the each day.
In the horticultural areas visitors had plenty to see with amateur and trade exhibitors putting on many fine displays of produce and products.

Editor, Chris Allen presents The Gardening Times best display certificate to Nick Gilbert from Gilberts Dahlias and Nursery near Romsey, Hampshire. His fine display of Dahlias was not only voted best display in the Floral Pavilion by the visitors but also a large gold medal and best in show by the judges.
Memories from the past were rekindled in this delightful show garden created by Timberline Vineyard.
The increased number of entries seen on the show benches in the horticultural marquee this year gave the judges plenty to think about during their early morning deliberations.
National Vegetable Society members from Jersey staged this great display of fresh produce at the National Championships also held during the Dorset Show this year.
The Dorset County Show is one of many regional shows around the country that provide great days out for everyone. The events also provide an ideal venue for local business and craftsmen to promote their products and services, plus the opportunity for agricultural, horticultural, countryside and conservation professionals to share their knowledge and showcase their work to the visitors.
