Mini-Masterclass – Preparing grasses for the spring

To cut or not to cut? Discover the answers to some of most
frequently asked questions at this new spring event. Led by Knoll’s
owner, a world authority on grasses, this is our specialist subject
and our Mini-Masterclass will ensure your own grasses are ready to
produce the wow factor this summer.

Plant Fair featuring the Specialist Nurseries of East
Dorset
25 April 10am - 4pm, Free admission to plant sales area, normal
admission for garden entrance.  Ask the experts and buy from the best of their stock at this very special event.

MAY
FOUNDATION FRIDAY
RSPB Guided Walk - The Voices of Spring
15 May, 7 - 8.30am £5 - Charge for RSPB guided walk will be
divided between the Knoll Gardens Foundation and the RSPB
Join the RSPB for a guided stroll at Knoll before the gardens open
to the general public, to listen to an amazing array of birds as they
greet the new day with their song. Limited numbers so booking
essential.

Make Wildlife Welcome
12 June, 10.30am - 12.30pm, £10.00 - Admission price will be
divided between Dorset Wildlife Trust and the Knoll Gardens Foundation. Neil Lucas and DWT joint expertise come together to answer some of common and less common questions about what makes a garden truly wildlife friendly.,
Make Wildlife Welcome is a Knoll Gardens Foundation event in
association with DWT as part of The Great Heath Living Landscape.

FOUNDATION FRIDAY
Guided Walk - Beautiful Butterflies
17 July, 11am - 12.30pm, Free - But booking essential and
donations to the Knoll Gardens Foundation welcome.
Join Keith Powrie on a walk around Knoll Gardens as he helps you
to identify the many butterflies to be found within the gardens.
 
 

JUNE
FOUNDATION FRIDAY
We value our Volunteers
5 June 10am - 4pm, Free garden entry for volunteers
In celebration of National Volunteers Week Knoll Gardens is offering
free garden admission to everyone who gives up their valuable time
to volunteer in any capacity. Please bring some proof of your volunteering
status to gain free admission. Free garden tours available before
12.30pm. No pre-booking required
 
AUGUST
The Great Heath Garden Wildlife Survey
5 August 10 - 3pm, Normal admission price which will be divided
between DWT and the Knoll Gardens Foundation
Come and see what The Great Heath volunteers of Dorset Wildlife
Trust will discover as they survey the wildlife of Knoll Gardens at
this special Knoll Gardens Foundation event. Suitable for all ages, beginners and experts alike. No pre-booking required.
