Healthy Plants Healthy You Campaign
Having living plants in your workspace is good for your health and wellbeing.
A one day campaign called ‘Healthy Plants Healthy You’ takes place on Thursday 14 January 2016.

The key message is to remind everyone that plants are a healthy lifestyle choice especially in the workplace.
Natural green plants can create a healthier, happier workplace by reducing stress levels, improve humidity and reduce airborne dust causing less respiratory problems.
The effect of the well documented ‘Sick building Syndrome’ can also be reduced with living plants, these symptoms can include headaches, skin irritations and dryness, dry throats, eye irritation, asthma and fatigue.

It is scientifically proven that living plants help to keep the air clean, indoor air can be ten times more polluted than air outside.
They can potentially keep you free from winter germs which can otherwise spread like wildfire in the office. Having plants around you and your colleagues also help to reduce stress levels and raise your mood. Something we all need at the beginning of the year.

A collection of living plants in the workplace can have a positive impact within days.

Plant selection and care information can usually be found on plant labels, if not ask for advice from the garden centre or florist staff.
